Summer can be the perfect time for students to strengthen the practical skills they need for success in school, relationships, and everyday life. At College Life Skills Programs, our Summer Student Success Groups are designed for high school and college students who want structured support in building confidence, improving independence, and preparing for the next stage of life. Programs are available virtually and in person at our Boca Raton, Florida center.

Why Families Choose CLSP Summer Groups

CLSP has helped students and families for many years with individualized support focused on emotional maturity, executive functioning, life skills, and social development. The summer group format offers a focused, short-term opportunity for students to work on real-world skills in a supportive environment led by experienced professionals. CLSP’s site emphasizes helping students thrive before, during, and after college through evidence-based approaches developed through decades of real-life student support.

What the Summer Groups Focus On

Social Skills Groups

Students in the Social Skills groups work on practical interpersonal growth, including:

  • Participating in groups
  • Building confidence in social settings

These areas align closely with CLSP’s broader social abilities support, which includes friendship-building, safe technology usage, privacy and boundaries, group participation, and conversational skills.

Executive Functioning Groups

Executive Functioning groups are designed for students who need stronger systems for managing academics, responsibilities, and daily routines. Summer topics include:

  • Time management
  • Organization and planning
  • Task initiation and completion
  • Goal setting
  • Problem solving
  • Flexibility and confidence

College Life Skills Groups

College Life Skills groups help students prepare for more independent living and decision-making. Focus areas include:

  • Independent living and self-advocacy
  • Self-regulation and stress management
  • Daily routines and time management
  • Managing screen usage

This supports the broader CLSP mission of helping students develop communication, employment readiness, safe technology habits, and the life-management skills needed before, during, and after college.
